The campsite is located in a lush indigenous Ngare Ndare forest at the northern foothills of Mt. Kenya. Azure pools glisten at the bottom of waterfalls and 200 years old trees stretch into the canopy supporting a rich variety of bird and animal life. The forest is a vital corridor that links the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Northern Kenya to Mount Kenya forest reserve, and one which elephants have been using for centuries.
Water
Cleaning is available in the camp. Guests should carry clean drinking water.
Rangers
A ranger will be provided for an additional 1000 KES per ranger per day. We recommend taking 2x rangers so as one can help show you roads or walks while the other can look after your campsite. Rangers will be completely self-sufficient during their time with you.
Firewood
Rangers will help collect dead wood for use.
The forest is about an hours drive from Nanyuki. Turn left immediately after Timau town, 400m from Timau police road block, along the Nanyuki Meru road to a rough road. You will see our sign post there. Drive 11KM to the forest gate, then proceed inside the forest for another 4KM then you will see the sign on your right showing direction to the canopy walkway, platform and blue pools. The forest has a driving track and walking trails. You can access the forest by a saloon car but for best access to the waterfalls, a 4WD is recommended. Driving is the easiest way to the pools but one learns more about the forest by walking. Trained guides are available to help one explore the forest.

Kids between 10-15 years pay half the Adult price. Below 10 yrs is free.
PRIMARY schools: 300 per pupil for a day trip Secondary schools:500 per student. Local groups of 10 People and above: 1500 per person for a day and 2000 per person for Camping per night.

-14 seater and below:500 -More than a 14 seater:1000
All nature walks and camping must be accompanied by an Armed ranger charged at 1000 per day walk/ per night
