Boji Dera, Nakuprat Gotu

Boji Dera is a beautiful campsite on the edge of the Ewaso Nyiro River close to the Boji Dera Spring with Doum Palm shade. This is a great location to explore the Gotu falls or the Magado crater in Nakuprat Gotu Community Conservancy. Access is via Shaba National Reserve

Surmat, Namunyak

Surmat campsite is tucked away up on top of the Mathews Ranges and is now easily accessible via a new road from Sereolipi. It is situated on a sand bank with a stream flowing close by. There is however limited shade and the space is best suited to a smaller group with a maximum of 2 vehicles.

Sunyai, Naibunga

Sunyai is a beautiful campsite shaded by big old fig trees on a bend in a sand river. There are some interesting rock formations and gullies cut by the river which are ripe to be explored. Found in Naibunga Conservancy, Sunyai is another great spot to spend the weekend.

Wakumbe Hills, Naibunga

Wakumbe campsite offers amazing views. It is also a very scenic drive to the campsite. There is however limited shade so this site works well as an overnight stop when exploring the wider region.

This campsite is accessed by the sand river along side which it sits.  This river can flood during rainy periods. Never camp in the river bed itself and be aware of the weather at all times.  There are lovely shaded areas along the sides of the river to use for your camp.

Nesesia, Westgate

Nesesia Campsite is close to the western gate of the Samburu National Reserve. Situated along the Ewaso river, Nesisia is sheltered by old acacia trees. It’s spacious for a big group and many cars.

Westgate HQ Campsite

West Gate HQ campsite is a beautifully shaded campsite on the edge of a sand river in close proximity to the Ewaso Nyiro. Non-drinking water is available from the nearby Westgate Conservancy HQ.

Lorian Campsite, Westgate

Lorian Campsite, famously known as Belinda’s campsite is a beautiful campsite in Westgate Community Conservancy on the banks of Ewaso River.  It is spacious for a large group and has lots of game.

Tumot, Sera Conservancy

Tumot Campsite found in Sera Conservancy is a beautiful shaded site on stunning sand river. Suitable for big and small groups. Perfect to access Sera Rhino Sanctuary.

Lgweita Campsite

Set at the base of a large rocky like ‘auditorium’ it’s a really stunning location with nice views to the east; mornings here are something else! The Kenyan Camper, “I also notice quite a bit of elephant dung so you might have a few unexpected visitors if you’re lucky.” 

Lgweita is on the opposite side of the Nasha rock, it is closer to the A2 tarmac road. Patterned with seasonal waterfalls on the wide rockface, It is also covered with heavy foliage of canopy trees offering a perfect shield from the scorching heat. Lgweita also offers an amazing view of Mt. Ololokwe.
